PREVENTION OF DISEASES CAUSED BY MICROORGANISMS



  • Wash your hands before handling food especially after you have used the toilet.
  • Drink boiled water because boiling kills microorganisms.
  • Cover your mouth and when you cough or sneeze to prevent microorganisms from getting into the air.
  • Cover wounds to prevent infection.
  • Do not share personal items such as towels, toothbrushes and comb with someone who has an infection.
  • Quarantine patients with contagious diseases such as chickenpox, conjunctivitis or mumps. Quarantine means isolating people with such diseases from other for a period of time.
